BTS Jungkook breaks records with longest-running chart on US Billboard Hot 100 among Korean solo artists

Jungkook, a member of the global sensation BTS, has set a remarkable new record with his solo track "Standing Next to You". The song, featured on his solo album 'GOLDEN', has secured the 85th spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, marking its 18th consecutive week on the prestigious chart.

'Standing Next to You' initially made its debut on the Hot 100 at number 5 on November 18, 2023, and has since maintained its presence, establishing a new milestone for Jungkook's personal songs. Among his solo releases, "Standing Next to You" surpasses the longevity of his collaboration with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth on "Left and Right", which held strong for 17 weeks. Following closely is his solo single "Seven feat. Latto", which remained on the chart for 15 weeks after its release in July last year.

Notably, "Standing Next to You" also boasts the longest-running duration on the Hot 100 among Korean solo artists in the past decade, echoing the international success achieved by Psy's iconic hit "Gangnam Style", which held its position for 31 weeks.

Furthermore, Jungkook's album 'GOLDEN', which includes 'Standing Next to You', continues to make waves, securing the 90th position on Billboard's main album chart, the Billboard 200. This achievement marks the album's 18th consecutive week on the chart, setting a new record for the longest-running chart album by a Korean solo artist.
