BTS' Jungkook sets record and achieves 1 billion Spotify streams during mandatory service hiatus

Even during his absence for military service, BTS member Jungkook continues to demonstrate his global influence. Spotify has confirmed that Jungkook has surpassed 1 billion streams on the platform this year alone, making him the first K-pop solo artist to achieve this milestone, according to the ‘World Music Awards’ (WMA).

Jungkook's recent accomplishment on Spotify includes two songs, "Seven" and "Left and Right," each surpassing 900 million streams. This marks a significant milestone not only for K-pop solo artists but also within the broader K-pop genre.

Additionally, Jungkook has set a new record as an Asian solo artist with the most songs exceeding 400 million streams. Six of his tracks, including "Seven," "3D," "Standing Next to You," "Dreamers," "Left and Right," and "Euphoria," have achieved this feat.

With all credits from his personal Spotify account, Jungkook has amassed over 5.2 billion streams, further solidifying his position as a global music icon. His solo album ‘Golden’ has also crossed the milestone of 3 billion streams, a historic achievement for a K-pop solo artist.
