Seventeen appointed as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth

In a significant milestone, Seventeen has been appointed as UNESCO Goodwill Ambassadors for Youth, marking the first time a K-pop artist has received such an honor from UNESCO.

Pledis Entertainment, the group's agency, attributed this recognition to Seventeen's unwavering commitment to infusing their musical journey with global youth engagement since their debut in 2015.

UNESCO appoints individuals with global prominence across various fields as Goodwill Ambassadors to increase worldwide interest and participation in its ideals and activities. Notably, Seventeen and UNESCO have collaborated in the past on the impactful #GoingTogether campaign, advocating for the importance of education.

Moreover, Seventeen participated in the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum held at the UNESCO headquarters in November last year, where they interacted with youth representatives from over 170 countries. During the event, the members delivered a special session, conveying the message that solidarity among youth and education can change the future of youth and the planet.
