BLACKPINK's Jennie may be attending her first 'Cannes Film Festival'

BLACKPINK's Jennie has received an invitation to this year's '76th Cannes Film Festival' via her HBO series, 'The Idol'. 

 

On April 13, the 'Cannes Film Festival' announced its full list of selected works both in the "in competition" and "out of competition" categories. In the "out of competition" category, the HBO series 'The Idol' starring Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, Jennie, and more was selected alongside the film 'Cobweb' by director Kim Ji Woon and starring Song Kang Ho. 

While it's currently unknown whether or not Jennie will join the cast of 'The Idol' at this year's '76th Cannes Film Festival', it will surely mark a noticeable achievement in the star's budding acting career should she choose to do so. 

 

The '76th Cannes Film Festival' will take place from May 16-27.
