BTS's 'Boy With Luv' is certified Double Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of Japan
BTS has obtained 'Double Platinum' certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan.
According to the Recording Industry Association of Japan on April 25, BTS' mini-album 'MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA' title song "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)" released in April 2019 has accumulated 200 million won. Based on the number of plays the song has officially been certified double platinum.
With this, BTS has their 4th 'Double Platinum' certified work after "Dynamite", "Permission to Dance" and "Butter".
Among them, "Dynamite" was certified as 'Diamond', and "Butter" and "Permission to Dance" were certified as 'Triple Platinum'.
"Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)" is a song that talks about the interest and love for you, and the joy of small and simple love. Popular American singer Halsey participated in the feature.
Immediately after its release, the song entered the US Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' at number 8 and stayed on the chart for 8 consecutive weeks.
The Japan Record Association categorizes songs into gold (over 50 million times), platinum (over 100 million times), and diamond (over 500 million times) according to the number of cumulative plays, certifies them every month, and announces them through the official website.
